Honeymoon in September?

Is it Good to Visit Maldives in September as a honeymoon?

  Hi Amer Yes - September is at the end of the rainy season, and it certainly *can* be very rainy - but the truth is it's impossible to say, and just pot luck for the days that you will be coming. It can rain on any day of the year, and remember that when you look at the rainfall stats, that half the rain falls at night ! But the good news is - we do not get those nasty tropical cyclones like you see on TV in Florida and sometimes in India. The islands are made completely of sand & coral, so drainage is really good and the rainwater just flows away very quickly. You've also come at the cheapest time of year, so I bet you paid much less for your holiday than if you were coming in Dec & Jan - so you got a really good deal ! When it's cloudy you can still get a suntan in Maldives (and even get sunburn !), and it's great fun to snorkel & splash in the shallow lagoon even in the rain - the sea feels *really* warm at this time ! Imagine that you've just had dinner, and you're walking back along the beach to your room, arm in arm with your new spouse. Sunset was at 6pm, and it's 9pm now but still a lovely 25 degrees. You see a storm brewing on the horizon - flashes of lightning reflected off the ocean, followed by a deep rumble of thunder. Heavy raindrops start to fall as you reach your door, and you cuddle up in bed watching the rain falling on the sea ... Come expecting some rain, but don't let it spoil your holiday - I'm sure you'll have a great time. .
