Why many Muslim in Malaysia are ignorant about the use of the word "ALLAH" by other faith?

• The Christian in Sabah and Sarawak have been using the word "ALLAH" for hundred of years even the pagan people in Sabah use the word "ALLAH" The Sikh also use the word ALLAH, because the Sikh religion is a mixture of Islam and Hindu teaching. How does the use of the word ALLAH will shaken the faith of Muslim,they have been learning ISLAM since primary 1 to form 5, surely they have a strong foundation in that religion. What do Muslim in Malaysia are taught about Christian,do they know that we worship GOD through JESUS,that we also beleive in one GOD. Do they understand what is actually TRINITY, before talking about it.

  the fact that the word Allah has been used by pagan and christian arabs to refer to God long before Islam has escaped many malay muslims in this country. when prophet mohammed started to use the word Allah in the Islamic context, the pagan and christian arabs did not react the way the muslim authorities in this country are behaving now. and now they want to claim it as exclusively theirs and theirs only. these people are truly ignorant about religious history in the middle east. in the end, they are only giving a bad image to Islam. and did you see the protest on tv the other evening - these band of ruthless mob protesting the latest court decision allowing non-muslims to use the term Allah? don't these people have better things to do? try going to any Islamic bookstore in this country selling Islamic religious books - and you'll see the use of many Sanskrit / Hindu words incorporated into these Islamic books in bahasa malaysia - dosa, Tuhan, maha, syurga (al-jannah?), neraka (al-nar?), puasa, agama (as in Agama Islam), guru, sembahyang (solat) and many more. why don't they just use the proper arabic terms? muslims in this country are lucky that Hindus are more rational and do not demand that malay muslims be banned from using these words. Hindus are better than that and they don't get confused as easily. Muslims in Malaysia and the West are free to use the word "God" in their dakwah literature and English translations of the Quran. We do not see the westerners demanding that Muslims be banned from referring to allah as God. In fact, one of the many dakwah tactics Muslims use in the West is to reassure the Americans, British, Scandinavians etc. that Muslims worship the same God as the Christians and Jews. And yet, bigotted religious fanatics in malaysia are telling us a different thing, i.e. that Allah is not the same as God and Tuhan. now tell me, who is confused? it seems that all those years of religious instructions in primary and secondary school have not done much to enlighten the religious authorities in this country. What a waste of time & taxpayer money.
