In my opinion, yes Allah is simply the Muslim name for God and is identical to the Christian and Hebrew God, Is Allah not the god of Abraham also? Brand me a heretic for saying so but I'll stand by my knowledge unless God tells me I'm wrong.

No Muslims deny this.

"God" is not the best translation for the word "Allah"...that's why many Muslims use the word "Allah" instead of it ...simply because the word "God" has a plural "Gods"& has a female name "Goddess". In Islam we believe in Allah as the only God, only one, no partner, no similar, no son.....etc.

ALLAH is indeed the GOD of Abraham..

Here is what Quran Says about Abraham(pbuh) in Surah 16 Ayats 120-123:

16:120 Abraham was indeed a model, devoutly obedient to Allah, (and) true in Faith, and he joined not gods with Allah:

16:121 He showed his gratitude for the favours of Allah, who chose him, and guided him to a Straight Way.

16:122 And We gave him Good in this world, and he will be, in the Hereafter, in the ranks of the Righteous.

16:123 So We have taught thee the inspired (Message), "Follow the ways of Abraham the True in Faith, and he joined not gods with Allah."

Here in Surah Al-Baqara ALLAH describes himself as

In the name of Allah the Most Merciful, and Compassionate

Allah! There is no god but He,

The Living, the Everlasting,

Slumber seizes Him not, neither sleep,

To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth.

Who is there that can intercede with His, except by His leave?

He knows what lies before them and what is after them,

And they comprehend not anything of His Knowledge save as He wills.

His throne comprises the heavens and the earth,

The preserving of them fatigues Him not,

And He is the All-High, All-Glorious.

[Al-Quran: Surat al-Baqarah, Ayah 255]

Also in Surah Al-Ikhlas ALLAH says:

112:1 Say: He is Allah, the One and Only;

112:2 Allah, the Eternal, Absolute;

112:3 He begetteth not, nor is He begotten;

112:4 And there is none like unto Him.
