Are Ice Cubes from China are safe to use?

I can speak from personal experience on this subject. If the ice in the drink that you are served are cubes then it is manufactured by a large company such as Coca Cola who use reverse osmosis to purify the water. If on the other hand the ice looks like it was chopped off a large block of ice then I would not drink it. I got very sick from drinking iced coffee that had this kind of ice, unlike the ice cubes which never made me sick.

I would suggest making your own ice cubes from bottled water if you're using it at home. If you're in a restaurant (higher end) or bar, however, I would say it's probably fine. If you're on a street market or smaller restaurant, then no, don't drink it. Basically, use your common sense. If the surroundings in the restaurant don't seem that clean, then don't trust the water or the ice cubes.

i only drink canned or bottled beverages, and cooked food in foreign countries.... once got sick from a salad, where the lettuce was washed in local water.....
