When is Shanghai good to visit?

Can I visit Beijing and Shanghai in 8 days?

• I will have 8 days only to visit china , I was going to spend the 8 days in Beijing , But is it possible to visit Beijing and shanghai ?? seeing only best attractions!???

  Well Beijing has a lot to see, while Shanghai is not my favourite place, but there are still many places to see and a is a good contrast to Beijing. I suggest if you fly into Beijing and leave by Shanghai then it will be doable, otherwise either Beijing or Shanghai have enough to do for 8 days (I know I said I don't like Shanghai, but there are many places worth visiting right near Shanghai). So you can see 3 places per day in Beijing. One in the morning, one in the afternoon and one in the evening. Eg, Summer Palace, Great wall, then go to Houhai at night. Beihai park, Forbidden city, then look around tiananmen and Qianmen district at night etc. Most of these places can be easily reached by the efficient beijing subway system or taxi for some places. Though the great wall and other places on the outside of Beijing you need to join a tour or hire a driver for the day. Going from Beijing to Shanghai is pretty straight forward. Unless you are travelling during a Chinese holiday you can easily take the G - high speed train that takes 5 hours from Beijing to Shanghai. Don't take then normal trains as there is no view, but the new train line has been built through some beautiful countryside. You can buy the tickets one or two days ahead though always book train tickets as early as possible. You can also fly, but that will take about 3-4 hours anyway with going to the airport, check in etc.Also there are often delays so it can take longer to fly than the train. Personally I would recommend going from Beijing to a place in the countryside for a change of pace.
