Why is it ok for shia to have tattoos but not sunni?

  • ok so I am pretty shocked...i know a girl who has three tattoos including a big one on her back but she wears hijab and her husband one for her too and she is shia....and another girl i know she has tattoos and she is young and i asked her what her mom thought of her tattoos and she told me her mom has one too! they are both shia...so why is it ok for shias to have tattoo but not sunni?

    According to Sunnis, you are changing Allah's creation by having a tattoo, I am a Shi3a having nothing against it because nowhere does it say it's forbidden, I mean we dye our hair, shape our eyebrows ect and it's not haram, so why should a tattoo be?

because shia have different books and do not have a hadith about plucking eyebrows or tattoos or filing teeth being forbidden.

like ΠЯ. Ğ@$$ i'm christian and have 2 tattoo's...but my i have family who are so against it, so i had to get them where none can see. i think all organized religion would be against them...but it comes down to everyones own personal convictions that God puts in each of our hearts.

Well I another heard that Shi3as are allowed and Sunnis aren't. I'm Orthodox Christian and I'm against tattoos.
