All the costumes I have are not suitable for swimming at my local pool. I need to get a costume this afternoon in Croydon/South London any stores come to mind?? Thanx :-)

No personal recommendations I can give, I always go to Decathalon in Surrey Quays but that's a bit far for you. But there's a few possibilities on the link below.

From my memory of working in Croydon up to about 5 years ago I would have thought any of the sports shops on the main shopping road behind the mall would have something Maybe there are even newer stores in the Whitgift Centre which would supply Enjoy your work out !!
