How to watch internet channels on TV?

Some people told me I need a special LED TV for that. Some said I need "some" gadget to do this but failed to tell me the name of the gadget, where is it produced and other technical details. I request to all those who know the details to provide correct information. Any serious answer will be accepted.

Basically, if you want to connect your computer display to a CRT TV, you'll need a 2-way VGA cable (like one of these: [http://www.inmax.ca/images/Component_VGA_RCA.jpg%5D). Connect the VGA end (the bigger and black end) to the computer's VGA plug (if it's a desktop, it's probably connected to the monitor; if it's a laptop, it'll be on one of the sides), and connect the red, green/white, and yellow cables into the TV's input ports. If it's an HDTV, you'll need an HDMI cable. If your laptop supports HD output, you can use a 2-way HDMI (like one of these: [http://hdmicablesreview.info/wp-content/uploads/hdmi-cable-2.jpg%5D ), if not you'll need a VGA-HDMI cable: [http://i00.i.aliimg.com/photo/v0/105810764/CABLE_VGA_HDMI_M_M_W_BSTR.jpg%5D).
