What is blood plasma?

What happens if coagulated blood is in iv/vein. Plasma donation mishap, read details.?

  • I had a terrible experience donating plasma today, and I have some concerns. They stuck my left arm first and it wasn't a good stick, had flow issues after a few minutes, by the time they removed the needle the blood had fully coagulated in the line. So they changed the bottom part of the line and stuck my other arm. Within minutes my vision began getting blind spots and I felt very odd. So they ended my donation and when they removed the needle from my right arm a string of coagulated blood was attached. I felt a little better but still weird. Later when was home I removed the bandage and coagulated was stuck to the bandage it pulled the scab loose and dark blood bubbled out. I froze and my sister in law who is a m.a. pulled the banage off and pulled about 8 INCHES of coagulated blood out of my vein. It was like a blood noodle. So is this okay, should I get anything checked out. Could that clotted blood travel in my veins?? Also, I felt totally normal after she removed the "noodle". Why did all the clotted blood in my arm alter my vision and make me feel weird. I'll never donate again, to many bad experiences, and ill forever be haunted by 8 inches of blood snake being pulled from my arm...
