Law stating that basic pay should be higher than any allowances?

What if I told you ther isn't a law saying you have to pay federal taxes?

  • there isn't a law saying you have to pay Federal taxes, but yet we still pay. you would assume that if we pay that there would be a law stating we had to. there isnt a law at all you can do all the research you want, and you wont find one.

    I would say that you are totally WRONG! Title 26, US Code is the LAW. Here's a link, straight from the source, the US House of Representatives: http://uscode.house.gov/download/title_26.shtml The authority to implement this law stems from Article 1, Section 8 of The US Constitution. Look it up. Additionally, the 16th Amendment to The US Constitution removes the previous interpretation of income taxes as direct levies subject to apportionment as was ruled by the US Supreme Court in the late 1800s. If there was no law, Wesley Snipes could never have been convicted of tax evasion and sent to prison. Riddle me that, huh??

Somebody lied to you . . . Maybe YOU should do the research. Look up the 16th amendment. As a matter of fact, you should probably read the whole constitution, so you have some vague idea what you are talking about next time you decide to enlighten us with your brilliance.

if you don't want to pay taxs then don't but then don't use anything that is payed for by taxs, ie. roads,bridges,fire department,police department, hmm don't pay taxes don't have thoughts things good luck with life... you must really know a computer, i hope you didn't do much research, if you did i will introduce you to a thing called search engines type into one of them "right of congress to tax." out comes the 16th amendment. now if you don;t think amendments are laws then shut up becouse the right to fee speach is one of them two
