I want to apply for OCI or PIO of India?

The problem I have at this point is getting my parents passport or birthcertificate. Both my parents were born in India in circa 1910 but we dont have any documents to support that. What do I do.? The embassy has been most unhelpful, not replying to any of my emails. Can I provide otehr evidence of my parents place of birth like a declaration on oath and my birth certificate thata categorically says parent s born in India. Embassy not too keen on such evidence I understand. So where to from here?.

How about your birth certificate and pp documents?. Definitely, you will find some evidence to prove your origin. You can contact the Thasildar office (Revenue dept) from your native place in India and get a birth or death certificate from them. If one of your parents were employed in government services, then it is very easy to get all these documents.
