Why won't my briefcase open?

Why does my husband refuse to replace his worn out clothing and briefcase?

• His pants are fraying, his leather briefcase is falling apart, and yet he refuses to replace these items. I am at my wit's end. There is no emotional attachment to any of these items.

  They could be numerous reason behind it. One might be he doesn't feel he has the money or need for it. I still where the same clothes I've had for the last five years and its not because I have an emotional attachment to them but I have a family to provide for. I have a extremely good job making six figures a year but I also have two daughters and a wife that I want nothing but the best for. So if that means I don't get a new outfit because one of my daughters wants a new pair of shoes or my wife wants a new dress, I can live with that.
