Need to ship large item to northern Alberta, Canada, whats the best way?

  • I need to ship turntables (2), mixer, dj coffin, stand, and two crates of records to Ft. McMurray, AB, Canada. I would like to find a shipper that will package it for me as well, to ensure it arriving intact. Would like to ship as cheaply as possible but also reliably, any ideas?

I actually had good results shipping with Canada Post to GP,AB but I packaged it myself. Lots of electronics everything made it. If you have a friend/relative that works retail get them to save you packaing materials(peanut) and large heavy boxes. They might even be able to send it to you from work, If they deal with a company they get rebates and it would be alot cheaper, I sent 500lbs from Kitchener to GP for $300 with a trucking company on one skid including a bike printer gamecube and computer, a couple of cd cases cracked but the cds were fine. If not go to uhual and buy them. What ever you do don't send it UPS/DHL they treat large or heavy boxes like crap cause most of the depots don't have adaquate handling personel or equipment and they kick things around. Purolator is ok but expensive. Oh yeah stay away from UPS
