Has anyone ever worked for Convergys in Lake Mary Florida?

• Ive recently got a job offer from a company called Convergys for "customer service sales associate". It starts off at 10 an hour for 40 hours a week plus has tuition reimbursement and health benifits. Sounds peachy and such but im nervous as ive heard some pretty negative things about the company itself and its practices. The position is for AT&T mobility contract and i dont want to quit my current 7.25 an hour job, to get into something i wont like and will quit and end up making nothing at all. Anyone have any experience from there? I know my step dad walked out on the first day but that was for pc tech support, they left him alone on his first day and his first call was someone just yelling and such. So can anyone tell me about working there? Is it a good idea? Im sick of 7.25 an hour for like 20 hours a week.

  I was hired back in 2002 as an internet DSL (Digital Subscriber Line) tech support guy. They paid $8 an hour then. I lasted 7 weeks and walked out when I got the call from hell from some subscriber that could never get her internet to work. I intended this to be a short term job anyway but I found that the conditions weren't bad (at least for what I was doing.) I'd go for it. In these times, you don't have anything to lose.
