Filing an unemployment claim in New York?

Filing an unemployment claim in New York? OK here's the deal. I filed for unemployment (Last week, Feb. 11th, Wednesday) and they already told me how much I would be receiving weekly through the mail. They told me to file my first weekly claim next Wednesday, Feb. 18th and they didn't really tell me anything after that. I filed my claim on the 17th because I received something in the mail telling me to file my claim ASAP. So now it's the 19th and I'm wondering how long does it take to receive your first weekly payment? Is there still a chance to be denied for unemployment benefits at this point?
