Can you get a tracking number even if the package is not scanned?
-
so i order something online i email the person about the tracking info and she gave me the tracking number but she said "it appears that it has not been scanned it yet." so the question i'm asking is, is it possible to get a tracking number without getting it scanned? because it seems to me like im the one who's going to lose out in the end like shes taking my money and running do you think the tracking number is fake?

Answer:
Yes it is. She is probably using a In home based shipping program on her computer. When she made out your shipping label for your item, a label and tracking info was made for your item. When the item is itself is received ito the shipping system at the USPS, you will see Accepted. That will then mean the item is en route to you.
