Planning on planting Hydrangeas in my yard but....?

My yard is shady. But the spot where I want to grow my hydrangeas, there were hostas there and they were able to grow. Theres a little sunlight but overall my yard is a little shady. Do you think my hydrangeas will be okay? I checked on the zone and I'm good.

Hydrangeas will tolerate some morning sun, but even a little arternoon sun will make them wilt.

Hydrangeas PREFER shady. In fact, they usually do best on the north side of a house or fence. So they should do fine.

They like shade. Mine have been growing in almost complete shade for 38 years and are doing fine. Keep the soil moist but not wet. They like acid soil so add some used coffee grounds or a fertilizer with acid.
