How to clean dirty tile grout?

  • My house is all tile and in the very heavy traffic areas the grout has gotten really dark and filthy looking how can i get it looking almost brand new again?

    I use a paste made of baking soda and bleach. I just use a scrub brush and this paste. It works every time.

First, take a whole lemon and cut it in half. Squeeze lemon juice onto the tile. Using the lemon as a scrubber, work the juice over the tile. Leave the juice on stains until you see them disappear. Then, you can rinse the surface with water and dry it. The citric acid will quickly remove the stains. This should happen fairly quickly, but, tough stains may take longer.

there are many different cleaners that will get it clean but you could use bleach or maybe ajax and an old toothbrush to get down in the groves or you can go to the store and get a cleaner made for tile if you don't have bleach or something and your house i think clorox has a good tile cleaner that you just put on the grout and let set then just wipe it off

I have heard that that orange bam stuff works prety good.you can find it at walmart.

Tilex has a good cleaner. Is your grout sealed? Maybe after a good cleaning, it needs to have a sealer applied.
