Constant nausea and loss of appetite. Help?

Loss of Appetite & Nausea / Chills?

  • Since last Saturday, I've experienced symptoms that I can't pinpoint to a specific situation so I'm seeking insight. I had Nausea, Loss of Appetite (more towards Sun evening), difficulty sleeping, chills, and my face gets flushed warm on occasion. I went to the doctor on Monday and they thought I had gastritis (I have no pain or diarrhea, and have NOT vomited), so Prilosec did help alleviate some stomach cramps. However, I awake every 2 hours at night, but not in pain or to use the bathroom. I have not vomited, and was able to keep food down yesterday - although I haven't eaten so much as a muffin today. I go for a physical on Monday, but was wondering if anyone had insights on what this could be... all signs of what I"ve read lead to anxiety, but having obviously never dealt with that, I'm not sure what to look for in return. Thanks!

  • Answer:

You might have a liver or kidney problem due to some form of hepatitis. Alternatively, it could be bird flu or west nile virus. Or it could be a cold, a normal strain of flu, so you've got that going for you, which is nice.
