Is it possible to be infected with HIV during blood test in medical centre in UK nowadays?
-
I had blood taken some time ago and health worker didn't wear gloves, now I wonder if HIV infection can happen nowadays in medical centre in UK?
-
Answer:
it is completely possible, but it is unlikely. HIV is a blood to blood transfusion (mainly) so if they were not wearing gloves HIV is not the main consern, there is numerous other diseases they should be worried about before HIV that can be transmited a lot easier. dont be worried but if you feel concered get a HIV test done.
