Is it possible to determine your ethnicity through your blood?

I saw that the one basketball player had his done on the George Lopez show, but i can't remember the name.

I want to trace back where my ancestors came from, but I don't really have many records to go on. Would it be possible to take my blood sample and link it with other people in some location in Europe to determine my family origin that has a similar DNA...
