Does ulcers on the tonsils necessarily be throat ulcers?

What could these be? Blisters inside throat?

  • It started out as a regular cold (stuffy nose the lot) But my throat KILLS I looked and its got one or two (from what I can see) small blisters or ulcers. Im also producing a lot more saliva than usual (only started after I ate dinner 2 hours ago) The pain is worse at the bottom of my throat. What could it be? Ive had throat infections before and this hurts way more. (my tonsils arent really inflamed or red) I do plan on going to the doctors, but obviously not till Monday.

    It sounds like HSV-1 which is oral herpes (the cold sore type). Sometimes if this is your first exposure to HSV-1 then you will get these symptom. But later on it will just be a cold sore. That is my guess. If this is what you have, you should be taking anti-viral medication immediately to help the symptoms. If you've had cold sores before then my guess will probably be wrong.

Try gargling salt water, and drinking lots of hot tea. It could just be irritation from coughing. Try to not eat/drink dairy, it always makes me flemmy while sick!
