How to lose weight from hips & thighs?

How can i lose my baby weight in my legs, hips and thighs?

  • i had a baby 6 months ago and gained 50 pounds, i'm having trouble losing the weight especially in my lower belly, hips, thighs, and legs! i know that is a lot but i just wondered if anyone had any advise?

  • Answer:

It's hard to spot train those areas. Cardio is the only thing that burns fat. They say you have to sweat for at least 30 minutes, 5 times a week to be getting enough beneifts from cardio. If you are walking with your daughter you probably aren't walking briskly enough to get the benefits. See if you can step up your pace a little. Find someone to watch your daughter for about an hour so you can go do a really fast walk. Or invest in a couple of exercise tapes. I had a friend who lost her baby weight from doing Tae Bo. Good Luck.

Cleanse your inner body with water and fruits and vegetables. Eat things like tuna, white chicken, and exercise your *** off.

W-A-L-K. I gained like, 45 lbs when I was pregnant with each of my kids and lost it all by walking, and being more careful about what I ate. Besides, babies love to be in their strollers out in the sunshine! Good luck to you.

The best way to get rid of that fat is by runing, go to a football stadium and run one time around the track and do the stairs yes it sounds hard but it really works on that part of your body you don't like .T hat is what I do and my butt looks so much better now and tones your legs pretty much your whole body. you can do it!

I had my child four years ago and have only JUST started working on this same area. I've taken up rollerskating (not rollerblading, that kills my arches). Believe it or not, in just three weeks, the change is phenomenal! If you can rollerskate, try pushing the baby in the stroller (on a safe path, of course). Or ride a bike - the baby can ride along, too. Or even just a vigorous walk can help.

I had my baby 11 mos ago and am having trouble toning the problem areas. I just started the low carb diet. Also I do 30 min of cardio atleast 5 times a week. Pilates is toning me, the eliptical is good for the cardio. I was walking but it is 110 degrees here in AZ! From what I have been reading, the best way to do it is to cut 200-500 calories a day and do cardio 30-45 min a day 3-5 times a week. Good Luck

i've learned a lot from having a personal trainer as a husband... and walking is a great way to shed the pounds. but make sure you walk more than 30 minutes at a time and at least 3 x a week. that will get you on the right track. remember, weight loss after pregnancy should be gradual, if you want to do it healthy. after i had my son, i started back up gradually, walking and taking tai chi chuan. now my son's 3 and i'm able to do more aggressive workouts like i did before i got pregnant. i still do tai chi chuan, it's great for your overall health and state of mind! it's nice to do something relaxing and healthy for yourself, especially after a day of toddlermania. and if you're looking for a great lower body workout, tai chi chuan is IT! it works your legs so good that even my sifu could wear a mini skirt, though i wouldn't want to see that.. lol.. and now i'm able to continue my kickboxing and grappling as well. kickboxing is another great exercise regimin that you might want to look into after you've fully recovered from you pregnancy. its great at shaping your chest, back, arms. it works your trunk (torso, abs, delts, etc.) and does wonders for your legs, thighs and buttocks... aerobic kickboxing is good, but you really get a better workout when you do impact training, hitting pad and bags, you get more of a resistance workout with impact training that you do when you just punch at air. good luck and if you'd like any references to any of the martial arts i mentioned above just give me a holla!

An hour a day of walking is great. Go on a high protein, low carbohydrate diet. Eat fish, eggs, chicken, occasional lean beef or pork, low fat cottage cheese. Stay away from regular cheese, no bread, pasta, rice, potatoes, peas, beans (except green beans). No fruit and no fruit juice (it's sugar water, my dr says). Cut down on carrots and tomatoes (included ketchup). Use mustard instead of mayonnaise in recipes. Eat lots of salads, green vegetables. Salads only have one tablespoon of dressing for the whole salad. No ice cream, or other desserts. 8 glasses of water a day. No caffeine
