What's the best way to shrink pores?

Whats the best way I can shrink my stomach?

  • I want to shrink my stomach so that I don't eat such large portions anymore. I used to eat a lot less and feel full, but a period of binge eating when due to emtional reasons has stretched my stomach and i seem to binge not knowing when i'm full. Whats the best way I can shrink my stomach? Eg, going for long periods without food, or eating small amounts regularly?

  • Answer:

in order to shrink your stomach you should start eating small portions throughout the day instead of one big beal. That way you can keep your metabolism running all day. If you do not eat for long periods, your body metabolism will slow down and you will be dehydrated and have no energy

The stomach contains stretch receptors. As the stomach reduces in size when it empties it sends a message to the brain saying 'I'm hungry'. Over a period of time the stomach enlarges and this results in more food being required to 'feel full', but as soon as the stomach starts to empty that message gets sent to the brain saying 'feed me'! The basis behind stomach stapling and gastric banding etc is that the part of the stomach which contains these stretch receptors is isolated from the rest of the stomach to form a smaller pouch. Therefore, it stretches to fullness sooner (so you feel full after a much smaller meal) plus the band or staples reduce the size of the outflow so that food empties more slowly. This means the time taken for the stretch receptors to tell the brain 'I'm hungry' increases. So, food input decreases leading to a decrease in weight. Are you with me so far? You need a plan...... 1. Reduce your portion sizes. Over a period of a week or so your stomach will reduce in size. You may feel hungry initially but over time you will become used to the smaller portion sizes. Follow the tips below to reduce those hunger pangs. 2. Eat food that 'fills' you up. Protein is really good for this so eat good quality free-range chicken and fish etc. High-fibre foods also bulk you out. 3. Foods with a high glycaemic index (GI) (refined sugars, cakes, sweets, white breads etc) all speed-up the rate at which the stomach empties - therefore the stretch receptors send those messages to the brain saying "feed me" sooner after meals. 4. Foods with a low GI, for example high-fibre foods, fruit, veg and meat all delay gastric emptying - so eat more of these. The above tips are useful for anyone who wishes to lose weight. Don't look at it as a diet otherwise it won't work. It's better to change your eating habits and let the weight drop off gradually. If you lose just 2lb a month then that is still almost 2 stone in a year. Losing just 10% of your current body weight reduces your risk of diabetes dramatically. Exercise drives sugar into cells so helping to reduce the blood sugar levels and can stave off glucose intolerance or even type II diabetes itself so increase your activity levels. A walk with the dog every day is better than sitting flicking your bean to Trisha on the telly! Good luck!

Eating small amounts regularly which means your stomach is never hungry. Another tip is to eat slowly, this gives the food time to reach your stomach before you have finished eating and it will tell you it is full. If you gobble your food it doesn't have time to reach your stomach and you think you are still hungry. If you have stretched your stomach then you will probably have to do some situps to tone your stomach muscles.

hey im not sure on this one, i always though restricting what you eat over a period of days is a good way to shrink your stomach. Try drinking a glass of water before meals too, gives you feeling of feeling full which only lasts for a short while. i'll be watching this one!

Drink loads of water. This worked amazingly well for me. I'd see how many pint glasses I could get through in a day. This filled up my tummy so I wasn't so hungry. It soon became the best habit I ever had!!! Best Wishes.

This is the best way The full sit-up How to do... the full sit-up The basic sit-up is a popular way of working your abdominals. Strong abdominals give you a good core strength, essential for all sports. Start off by lying on your back with your knees bent, making sure your feet are flat on the floor. STEP ONE Bring your feet in towards your bottom and lock your hands behind your head. Try to keep your eyes on the ceiling even when you pull forward. STEP TWO Bring the shoulders and the upper body up towards your knees. Come up to an angle of no more than 45 degrees - there's no need to go further than this. Make sure you are working the abdominal muscles and not the hips. Try to keep your chin off your chest and keep your elbows out by your sides. Regars.................

sounds simple but eat less. Sounds stupid but read Paul McKenna book. I lost 1.5 stone this year. eat when you are truly hungry. eat slowly. Drink lots of water. But you eat what you really want. NO DIET. Read the book if you only follow part of it you will do well. Good luck

generally to just eat less over the day and after about 3 weeks your stomach will start to get used to the lesser amounts of food. As long as you don't keep eating loads because you feel hungry then you'll be fine. There's alot of people who say to eat little regularly but I think this encourages a higher level of eating as it requires more self discipline to keep the portions down. What I do is to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner: and that's it, unless I'm extremely hugry then I'll eat a piece of fruit once a day. Also make sure these meals aren't too excessive, one bowl of cereal, a sandwich and piece of fruit then a medium sized cooked meal is enough.
