Can you get stitches on your tongue?

I got my wisdom teeth extracted 2 days ago and i think the stitches are falling out?

  • Hi! i got 4 impacted wisdom teeth and the molar near the wisdom tooth on both sides (so all together 6) removed friday at 8:30am and tonight Sunday 10:30 i touched my tongue to where the stitches are and they feel alot looser then they were yesterday. Im freaking out because im afraid if they fall out it could cause an infection or something. Can you please help? it is ok that they are get loose and could fall out? also is it true that since im almost on my third day im for the most part clear of getting dry socket? im really paranoid about this because i have my birthday party in about a week and a half. thank you! :)

    Mine did 2 days after too and I got no infection! You will be fine IF you keep your gums clean. Rinse with Walter after EVERY meal to preven possible infections. Good luck and you'll be fine. If your so worried see your ortho again my checkup was free.
