How to open the new chess version?

How can I clear the browser's cache old version and retrieve w/ a new version. Re: yahoo chess.?

  • I tried following the instruction by going to Internet Option, but when I hit View Objects there's no file for Yahoo chess to delete. I did delete the temp files already. Pls. help me....

    do this! Yahoo’s new updates to games has caused a lot of game demo’s to be “outdated” Normal clearing of cache (deleting browser history/temp files) does not remove the outdated version. Click Start,, Search, click files; type in yahoo chess. Right click on the file and remove it. That is the old version you downloaded the 1st time you played

This message is displayed due to problem between compatibility of Yahoo games and latest version of the Flash player that is Adobe flash (the software used by yahoo games) version 9,0,115,0 and above versions. Hence clearing your browser cache will not help. I have tried to clean my cache both manually and using various programs and it hasn't worked. I don't recommend this solution but if you desperately want to play yahoo games then you will have to uninstall version 9 which is a newer version and install an old version of adobe flash like version 7. Caution regarding installing an old version of Adobe flash is that some websites which use newer version will not work on it. My advice would be to play yahoo games in java (old yahoo games but still available) till the problem is resolved. Another solution is to install a different browser in addition to your default browser (eg firefox) and install an older version of flash on it. In this way you can play yahoo chess on this browser while use your default browser for normal websurfing.

Some glitches with the games. Maybe I can help: 1. Clear cache 2. Erase stale pages 3. Restart your browser 4. Install Java Applet 5. Turn off Pop-Up Blocker. After you do all of these steps, now try again.
