Anyone have a pickled beets recipe without all of the spices?
-
I've been searching for a pickled beet canning recipe that doesn't include cloves and cinnamon, etc. I know I've made some with just vinegar and salt and maybe something else, and they tasted 'pickled' not 'spiced', and I lost the recipe. Thanks in advance!

Answer:
You can pickle beets with just vinegar, water and salt (or, just vinegar and water); why would you need a recipe? Use 1 part vinegar to 1 part water, add salt to taste; cover beets with mixture and allow to pickle for 1-2 weeks. To store for a longer period, can using the water bath method.
