How to make dough that works good for trout?

Does anyone have a tried and true recipe for ham and white bean soup?

  • My white bean soup is a bit boring and I was hoping someone out there would have a really good recipe that they love. In exchange i offer you a couple of recipes: Cheese and Broccoli Soup 1 whole Onion, Diced 1 stick 1/2 Cup Butter ⅓ cups Flour 4 cups Whole Milk 2 cups Half-and-half 4 heads Broccoli Cut Into Florets 1 pinch Nutmeg 3 cups Grated Cheese (mild Cheddar, Sharp Cheddar, Jack, Etc.) Small Dash Of Salt (more If Needed) Freshly Ground Black Pepper Chicken Broth If Needed For Thinning Melt butter in a pot over medium heat, then add the onions. Cook the onions for 3 to 4 minutes, then sprinkle the flour over the top. Stir to combine and cook for 1 minute or so, then pour in milk and half-and-half. Add nutmeg, then add broccoli, a small dash of salt, and plenty of black pepper. Cover and reduce heat to low. Simmer for 20 to 30 minutes, or until the broccoli is tender. Stir in cheese and allow to melt. taste test and add seasoning if needed. Then either serve as is, or transfer to a blender in two batches and puree completely. If you puree it in a blender, you'll have to return it to the heat and allow to heat up. add additional chicken broth if you prefer it a little thinner. this is a great soup to put in a bread bowl, spread a bit of grated cheese over the soup and serve. and this recipe from a book i just read: Watermelon Cookies Ingredients: 1 package (.17 oz) of Kool-Aid powder (the kind w/out the sugar added) 1 and 2/3 cup white sugar 1 and 1/4 cups softened butter (2 and 1/4 sticks) 2 large eggs, beaten (w/ a fork is fine) 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking soda 3 cups of all-purpose flour (pack it down when you measure it) 1/2 cup white sugar in a bowl 1. Mix the Kool-Aid with the white sugar 2. Add the softened butter and mix until it's fluffy 3. Add the eggs and mix well 4. Mix in the salt and baking soda and make sure they're well incorporated 5. Add the flour in half cup increments, mixing after each addition 6. Spray cookie sheets with cooking spray or use parchment paper *7. Roll dough balls one inch in diameter using your hands (or a cookie scoop about 2 tsp. size works well) 8. Roll the dough balls in the white sugar and place them on baking sheet 9. Bake at 325F for 10-12 minutes or until they're just beginning to turn golden around the edges--you don't want to overbake. 10. Let them cool on the cookie sheet for 1-3 minutes, then remove to a wire rack to cool completely. Yields approx. 6 dozen cookies
