Is the GED valid in any state in the US?

Are all GED tests the same in every state?

• I bought a book online and it is a book that is supposed to help prepare me for the GED test, but I'm wondering if all GED tests in the US are the same? For instance it is telling me how many questions are on the test and how much time you get for each section of the test. I don't want to be studding this 700pg book for no reason. Lol.   Hi Samantha congrats on preparing for the GED, All GED test are the same but there are different formats so people don't cheat. Good Luck!!!! www.operationged.com P.S Therer will be a new GED test it will be harder. GED Testing Service is releasing a new version of the GED® Test on January 1, 2014. Individuals who have tested on the current 2002 GED® Test Series must complete the exam series by December 31, 2013. Scores from the 2002 Series WILL NOT be combined with scores for the new assessment. Candidates who do not complete the current series will have to meet the requirements of the new test, starting January 1, 2014.
