Gym Membership, special circumstance to cancel?

  • Hey, My girlfriend just signed up at Premier Fitness in August of 2011, the gym sold to a new company called Phisiomed Fitness earlier this money (January 2012). The contract she signed up with Premier Fitness said she had to be with them for a YEAR or a cancellation fee would be in order. Now I recently got a good offer at a new gym (Good Life Fitness) and want to switch to that. Is it possible for me and my girl friend to leave "Premier" without paying a cancellation fee? Due to the fact that she signed with Premier and NOT Physiomed?

    no--and that is not a special circumstance.. a special circumstance would be something like becoming disabled or a member of the military being transferred
