What is the Interview Process at Olive Garden?

• I went in for my first interview and the lady and I got along really well and I thought I had a great Interview. Im going in for my second interview in a few days with the General Manager, and I was just wondering if that was the last one i will have to go through or not? Will they hire me there on the spot or call me back? I'm just really nervous and really want this job! Let me know! Thanks!

  This is generally a 2-3 interview process with some personality profile testing involved. The most important step to take after your second interview is to follow up and check back no later than 48 hours after speaking with the GM. This lets the management team know that your are serious about that particular job and keeps you fresh in their minds. When people apply for jobs, particularly restaurant jobs, they often apply with multiple companies, and it will definitely be a plus if you let the manager know how much you want THAT job and not just ANY job. The fact that you've made it to the second interview is a very good sign. While you're waiting at the store for your second interview make a point to study the menu and promotional materials. After you're hired there will be a lot of material that you'll be expected to learn and be prepared to take several tests on both food and wine. If it's in your budget try to eat lunch or dinner at the restaurant so you can the feel of the place. Engage employees in conversation so you can be remembered by potential co-workers. Make eye contact withe the GM, answer all questions directly but not aggressively, and smile, smile, smile. I wish you the very best of luck !!!
