How to view freeview channels?

Is it allowable for sky to not provide all free view channels i.e. as they are regarded as free to view?

  • Owing to the fact I have missed a payment on sky they have knocked me down to the basic service and have also knocked off a couple of channels that come under freeview i.e. Virgin1, and Dave both of these channels are freeview are the top-up channels that you can get on thefreeview box which has nothing to do with sky should I be able to recieve those as well under the basic package.They have also knocked off the recording programme in my sky + box which means I cannot record any of my programmes that clashes with another ( is it not illegal for them to stop channels that are free to view if you have got a box) Could someone advise me.
