Are my speakers blown?
-
i bought this computer fall of last year and the monitor it came with had built in speakers. Today i turned on the computer and the speakers wont work, i am currently getting sound by using a doubled ended jack from my computer to my amp, so i kno the sound output works. How can i tell if my speakers are broken? they never showed any signs of breaking. I checked my mixer (when you double click the sound icon in the system tray) and nothing is muted. What else should i check?

Answer:
The monitors which has speakers on, have an additional sound tuning on them rather than computer. check it first . probably keys like <+> <-> or on adjusting menu find speaker adjustments. it may be muted or at zero level. u can find it in user manual of your monitor... (that speakers do not blown simply as usual)
