How do I renew an unemployment claim (ny)?

• So I had a claim that recently expired. I worked all summer and now with winter coming I am now laid off for a while again. So basically my questio is what do I have to do? Do I have to redo the entire process... Also I had a raise so I want to be sure that's added into the claim so I can receive more $. And final question if anyone knows.. I'd like to do direct deposit instead of the benefits card they give me. But I heard that the company I work for has to allow direct deposit, but they don't. So would they not be able to direct deposit my unemployment. Would be great if you could answer all questions in here but even if you only know one feel free to answer anything. Thanks a bunch!   You do not renew an unemployment claim. You had a claim that recently expired so now you need to open a new claim with the information from your most recent employer. You may or may not be eligible depending on your earnings. You will need to be submit a claim and actually be approved for benefits before you even think about direct deposit.
