How to balance how a hectic schedule?

Is it okay to go ahead and schedule this balance transfer?

• I have a Bank of America American Express credit card with a balance of $303 left on it. I made the payment in full today and it will post tonight. Should I wait until the payment has posted before I take advantage of the balance transfer off on this card and go ahead and put in the transfer request? I know that the balance transfers usually take 7-10 days to even show up on the card. But I just wanted to make sure since nowadays the banks are trying every little scheme they can. I wanted to make sure that they wouldn't try to say that I had the $300 balance on the card the day that the balance transfer request was put in and try to stack interest somehow. I had a crazy situation like that before, with another card. In my case, the balance transfer is needed after assesssing my interest on other cards. I intend to pay the balance down completely before the transfer has ended, and yes, I do know that there is a fee for the transfer.

  Where you carrying interest on this card before? If then, you will still be charged a bit of "left over interest". This is interest from the day they mailed you the statement till the day your payment clears. So... you are going to have to wait for that check (payment) to clear with them. Then... check your balance again, and perhaps send another payment for a dollar or so. See why it's so hard to get rid of credit card debt and paying interest? It can drive anyone nuts. Then, I would wait for a statement that states $0.
