Has anyone had a debt relief order?

Would a catalogue recover their items if i got them on a debt relief order?

  • hey i have a huge debt and in that debt is one for littlewoods catalogue for 350pound. I have been advised to apply for a debt relief order from c.a.b and i was just wondering if littlewoods would recover the goods from me?? any advice is greatly appreciated thanks

  • Answer:

No because catalogue debt is almost all unsecured, in fact there are very few companies who have old fashioned HP style agreements. The only thing I would say is that there is a limit on the amount of assets you can have in order to qualify for a DRO. From memory you can't have more than £300 in assets (other than a car). Anyway the CAB will advise you. Best of luck. If you have specific questions about the DRO email me.

No, you own the goods. If you took out the agreement before 1 April 2007 it may be possible to get it legally cancelled. Go to www.bdebtfree.info and they will help you.
