Why will my 94 civic not start?

94 civic ex turns over but wont start dont know if it is no spark or no fuel?

• I have a 94 civic ex that i bought as a project car, it has the d16z6 sohc vtec engine in it (1.6l). ok the guy wired in a msd ignition system in it and relocated the battery to the trunk. when i bought it the problem was that he could not get no power to the whole car. i fixed that now it has power and turns over but it will not start. so i checked the spark plugs and they were bad so i went out and bought new ngk spark plugs and gapped them perfect and i had to take out some oil becuase he had like a half of qaurt to much in, i tryed to start it up and it just keeps turning over but wont start. it has plenty of power from the battery .now i am stuck and need as much of help as i can get. how do i check to see if it is not geting spark or fuel to the engine??? it also has a aftermarket fuel rail aem maybe injector problem? and there is no gas cap on so is that a problem?

The combination of sheet possibility of what is wrong is mind boggling. Make friends with a Honda engine jockey. ==== I also have 94 civic ex. My car is rock solid. It is also mostly stock.
