Ticket in GA for driving w/o insurance and expired registration - what will tickets cost? could I lose my lic?
-
was pulled over by city of atlanta police (no moving violation was given/cited) am assuming my tag was run at a stop light. major oversight on my part regarding the cancelled insurance and therefore cancelled registration. car was impounded and received 2 tickets - no insurance and 1 for no registration. I had the insurance and registration resolved the very next morning and picked up my car from impound. Do I need an attorney? Any idea what these 2 tickets will cost and could I lose my license? many thanks!

Answer:
go to http://www.iii.org/media/hottopics/insurance/compulsory/ you should only get between a 200-1,000 $ fine, although it does not say anything about impounding the vehicle.
