You can't determine that, as all human languages are probably descendants of that language. All languages have undergone numberous mutations, so it's impossible to determine.

Sign language. had to be, they were not taught a vocabulary for a long time.

Probably "Ugg," created by the Cro-Magnons. More seriously, the oldest manuscripts of language are of the Tamil language, though it may not be the oldest spoken. This could help out a bit:

it's not something we can know for sure. there are debates about whether language gradually evolved or came fairly suddenly. if it gradually evolved, then it doesn't make sense to talk about "the first language" - it's like asking what time it is first getting dark in the evening. if it came very suddenly, then it may have been isolated to a small group, and so a "first language" could make sense. but it still would probably have been very rudimentary, and it would be extremeley difficult, probably impossible, to prove that you had found where and when it was. a great book about language acquisition and development is "the language instinct" by steven pinker.
