  • India has more worse poverty situation than Africa. Why does the media always show India as a greate economy? There is more poverty in 8 states of India than the whole of subsaharan africa, 600million + people do not have toilet facilities, why does the media falsely show India as a rich advanced country?

  • Answer:

Good question: but the answer to this is NOT as obvious as some have dipict. However.... if you want to make the comparision between the two countries. You should look at the middle class... how it is growing (those who have homes and jobs) You should also look at the birth rate versus the death rate. (Africa may have a high birthrate... but also has a high death rate) you should take a look at the number of vehicals per capita (india , has far more vehicals and the infrastructure (roads) to accomodate them. Africa does not. Look at the statistics on how many people live in rural areas and high density cities. African cities versus those in India/Pakistan... they don't even compare in the dynamics of how they work. India has modelled much of their growth of China... yet are wiery about how fast they grow and how. They are learning from the mistakes made by China. All and all, will be interesting to see China suffer turmoil after its dollar is NO LONGER pegged with the American dollar. Watch the massive unemployment that will arise due to this change. Hence, India will probably prevail in the manufacturing sectors that China may faulter in the future? best part.... nothing is predictable. hope that helps

The Economy of India is the ninth largest in the world by nominal GDP and the fourth largest by purchasing power parity.

Absolute truth. But remember media shows "India Shining" because they're paid only for it. And this a tactics used by the Government indirectly and big businesses directly to attract foreign investments through FDI and FII.
