Why have I gained over 10 pounds in less than a week while having kidney stones?
-
I began having severe pain in my right side Friday night. Went in to the ER Monday morning and was told i had kidney stones. The CT scan showed one stone that is 6 1/2 MM (bigger than half an inch) in my right kidney and several smaller stones in both kidneys. An x-ray was also taken showing a burst cyst. I had surgery Friday Morning to have the larger stone blasted and was hospitalized till Friday night. I was kept on IV's the whole time. My question is, why from Friday to Friday, have I gained a little more than 10 pounds? Is it all water weight? Is it going to come off after I pass all the stones? What is going on here and how do I loose it?
