Hey guys what'up? I can't make up my mind. I just can't. My birthday is in two days(22nd June) and I don't know what should I buy. I've been planing to buy a PSP since x-mas when my cousin showed me his. Since than, All I have done is to look for great deals on PSP and I did succeed. I do like pokemons but my sister thinks that pokemon are for small children and I should not spend my money on a DS. The point is, I think that she is right because I will be turning 15 this friday and I will buy my another cousin who will turn 7 on July a pokemon Diamond. I promised him.I really like PSP but I am afraid that I won't like it after short period of time. What is better? PSP or DS? Come on guys help me out. All I have now is GameBoy Advance(Not even SP) and I can't make up my mind. You guys think that I should buy a DS untill I save my money for it and I should buy a PSP for this summer.I don't want to be a small kid playing pokemon but I do like pokemon. But I also like PSp a lot.

When choosing to purchase anything, you need to think about what you will do with it in the life of the product. Each handheld has its merits and flaws. One thing to remember about the Nintendo DS is the lack of a link cable to support Gameboy Advance games, so you can't just toss out those old Gameboy Advance systems if you still like doing linking with GBA games. Also, the DS Lite is smaller than the original, as such GBA games stick out a little bit, the system does come with a nice dust cover though. A Nintendo DS also does not support original Gameboy or Gameboy Color games, keep that in mind before giving away or tossing your old Gameboy Advance. One other flaw is that the Nintendo DS's wireless security is limited to WEP which is inheritibly insecure. The PSP on the other hand, supports WPA2, which is far more secure for wireless communication, this way you don't have to make your home wireless network a giant target. When thinking about which one to choose, decide on the games you want to play, which ones you would like most. There are a good number of fun games to choose from for both handhelds, but all might not appeal to you. Nintendo DS features games such as Mario Kart DS and Mario 64, not to mention games like Tetris, Pokemon, and Final Fantasy III. PSP has a good number of titles to offer and soon offer, such as Final Fantasy I and II, Final Fantasy Tactics, God of War, and the Grand Theft Auto Stories collection. Remember, there are adults who still play and enjoy Pokemon, you don't really "grow out" of such games if you still enjoy them. It is hard to choose I know, luckily I did not have to choose between the two.

PSP is better for media. You can go on the internet and play games and the likes. However, the DS offers better games. So get the PSP if you like more media and are very picky about graphics. Get the DS if you're more into gameplay and therefore want a more vast varity of better games (in my opinion anyway). Also, the DS is supposed to be able to interact with the Wii in some games if you're interested in that. I'd get the DS though.

I've had both for a while, and I can honestly say that the DS is so much better. The PSP only has 4 or 5 games that interest me, but the DS has over 15. And don't worry about what people think of you for playing Pokemon. I'm 15, and I play it all the time. It's actually one of the deeper RPG's I've played.

I don't have a PSP yet, but I'm saving to get one. I have a DS though. From experience, and from what I've heard, the PSP is more for media. It can play movies, music, etc. and has some games that can be considered "great". The DS is more for strictly gaming. It has a lot of great games, plus when they have online gaming, it only makes it more fun. For those who say you can't browse the internet on the DS, you'd be wrong, because as a lot of people know the DS has a web browser now. The only downside is that you have to goto the store and pick a copy of the DS Web Browser for $35. So... if you want music, movies, and media more than gaming, get the PSP. If you want to get a handheld for gaming, get a DS.

A DS! I have one and my friend has a PSP. personally i like the DS because it has really good games ( the psp does too), and you can now surf the web on it! but if you are looking for really good graphics then get the PSP. also... the good thing about the ds is that the games can't get scratched but the PSP games can because the games are disks and not cartridges.
