  • Like the title says, i need to preserve a rubiks cube so the tiles dont move so it stays undesturbed and left like he left it. i was thinking a clear epoxy but i wanted to make sure that there werent any other better options out there

You could go to a collectibles shop and get a clear plastic cube to put it in. .

You could perhaps use an epoxy resin but you might have to do each side separately? (Or did you just mean to glue it "closed" inside the spaces with an epoxy glue?) You could definitely use a polyester resin but you'd need a fairly large mold to hold a Rubik's Cube. If you're interested in either of those, visit (or write to) Tap Plastics (tapplastics.com) and ask them what would work best, or perhaps they'll be able to do it for you. Or they could definitely build you a custom plastic box display case to put it in (fitted tightly to the Cube, or loosely). Also check out some of their video lessons online for making plastic boxes, using polyester resins, etc: http://www.youtube.com/profile_videos?user=tapplastics HTH, and sorry about your grandfather, Diane B.
