  • Answer:

My friends & neighbors have yard sales all the time, and we often sit together at one house. There are 2 ways we do this. 1) Mark you items with a colored price sticker different than your neighbor - like you use blue, they use red or pink. You try to have your items together on a folding table, or just a tarp or sheet on the ground, with your items. You sit by this table or tarp, and you collect the money for your items. Reasonable, mature adult neighbors should be fine with this, and would not even think of taking your money! or 2) - things can be mixed on tables or the ground, but still marked with those colored price sticker/labels. One person is the "cashier" with a tablet - one sheet or page is for Matt's stuff, and they write down what you sell. The other page is for their stuff, and they write down what they sell. They make the change for the "customer". At the end of the sale, they total up what you made, and what they made, and they pay you. Either way READ THIS! Do NOT make change for someone using a $100 bill for just buying something you're selling for like 5 cents or a dollar, unless YOU KNOW THEM. There are many "bad people" trying to use counterfeit $100 bills in some towns. This is per one of our neighbors who is a cop, and heads our neighborhood watch program. Make sure you keep an eye out - sometimes you'll have teams of people rushing you to ask questions or buy things, and while blocking your view the partner will steal stuff. I'm not trying to be negative, I just wouldn't want a young person getting ripped off and having a bad experience. There is a lot of interest in shopping at yard sales held by multi-family etc... we always mention that when we advertise, both in the newspaper and the signs we put up. Things that kids want are BIG sellers! Good luck!

sure, ask and i bet they will here's a few tips: mark your stuff with different tags so they can easily tell what belongs to you and also be willing to let them negotiate prices for you (that'll be something you'll need to discuss with them prior to the sale) good luck! (:

I honestly wouldn't. I will tell you that you will get alot more if you do it in your own yard. Even set up a lemonade stand, while you are having a yard sale.People love to see kids doing their own thing. You will get money. My kids just had a lemonade stand and made like $60.00 in two days, and half the people didn't even want to pay what we were charging, one lady gave my kids a ten dollar bill for a glass of lemonade.

i dont think thats such a good idea cuz if u sell your stuff at their yard sale they might get greedy and keep the money from your stuff and not give it to u so u r better having your own yard sale or watever.
