I am interested in the field of physical therapy, where do I start.

Magnetic field therapy question?

  • Magnetic field therapy diagnoses and treats both physical and emotional pain; it relieves symptoms and retards the cycle of new disease. Magnets and electromagnetic therapy devices are now being used to eliminate pain, facilitate healing of broken bones, and counter the effects of stress. Stress can cause our bodies to get out of sinc electricly and magneticly. I had recent proof of this, I was really stressed out, divorce, law suits, etc..I have a magnetic globe in my office that floats between two magnetic points, I was unable to set the globe in the center position, tried a dozen times for weeks. My stress peaked out and I came down with 30 days of killer migraines. After that I was able to easily set the magnetic globe in its center position. I've read lately that they have discovered magnetic therapy for migrains. My question is, Should we be magneticly adjusted every so often to get our negitive and positive ions aligned for better health and sense of well being?

  • Answer:

We are surrounded by the earth's magnetic field but, we are also blocking all of it's effects. Electrical wiring creating EMF, a carcinogen, and rebar in the foundation of a home block any natural magnetic field from entering. Our cars are surrounded by metal and the buildings we work in block the natural fields. Lack of a magnetic field is why astronauts wear magnets. Scientists have surmised the probability of EMF, which we are surrounded by much more frequently, leading to such problems as adult brain cancers, Lou Gehrig's Disease, childhood leukemia and miscarriage. Magnetic strength and design is key when using magnets for health purposes. Too strong could be hurtful and too weak ineffective, just as in prescription drugs. Our cells have a positive and negative charge, when you place a magnet near a cell, it must move thereby increasing circulation. Thermographic photography shows increase in body heat after being influenced by a magnet. The only magnets I know to be effective with double blind placebo studies and thermographic imaging are Nikken's. 30 years of research and development have made them the leader in the health magnet industry. With patented design and strength, no other can come close.

Your base assumption is wrong. Magnets have no effect on either pain or emotional state. You are constantly surrounded by the Earth's magnetic field and presumably this doesn't influence you. I guess you would claim that the field isn't strong enough. However, people who get MRI's are in a magnetic field that is 10,000 time stronger than what you are using. So, presumably, these people would exit the machine with radical changes to their health and emotional state. What you've run into is nothing more than the placebo effect. BTW, my late wife had migraines and I know how bad they are. There was a prescription medication that would prevent the migraine if she took it early enough. Real migraines include sensitivity to light and sound and often nausea. What you had was just a headache, not a migraine. If you find that the magnets stop working for you you can always try other bogus treatments like crystal therapy or perhaps pyramid therapy.
