Answer:
i have the exact same problem.. im 14 too... well you know what the say everything progresses with time... so when you are singing hold your nose and you will sound better.. try it... and learn how to do it with out holding your nose... or lay on the ground and push your stomach out (with a deep breath) then pronounce the "s" sound until all the air is gone... try it....and learn to do it standing up

Lie on the floor. Put your hand over your diaphragm. Breathe in. If your hand moves upward, you are breathing with your diaphragm. Use this technique as you stand to fully inflate your lungs. You are breathing/ singing with your diaphragm. If you inflate your lungs fully, you should find it easier to sing high notes that are within your range.
Its all about the amount of air you have: your singing teacher is right when he says to stick your tummies out, cause you need air, and that is the natural way to breath without raising your shoulders. Your voice will improve the more you sing. When you sing, make sure your properly warmed up, otherwise there is no way your hitting high notes. I had the worst experience ever with my voice cracking- I was 13 and had to sing a short solo in a musical- I had to hit a high F and I'm an alto. During a rehearsal, I tried really hard to hit it, but it just didn't work, and my voice cracked in front of everyone. I was SO embarrassed. 2 years on, my voice has improved greatly- I'm not scared of high notes anymore. And with lots of practice, so will you. Listen to your singing teacher, cause trust me, its all about you breathing technique. You'll reach the nigh notes in your own time when your ready. Don't push yourself, but practice. Hope I help :)
