What is the legal holiday entitlement?

Holiday entitlement after resigning from a job?

  • im currently signed of sick from work with depression. im thinking about handing in my notice and am owed loads of holiday which runs from april to april. i normally get about 5 and a bit weeks off i think. i have had 4 hours holiday so far (half a day) as i do 3 half days a week and 2 full days a week-total number of hours a week is 28 hours. i would prefur not to work my notice as i hate it there but unsure what im entitled to. im hoping to take 4 weeks holiday as my notice. if i cant take it like that i will just hand in my notice but not work it and not get paid for the last 4 weeks as wont be there. and then should i get paid the rest of my holiday in my last wage slip etc. ive been at this job for 3 and a half years and we changed from allliance pharmacy to your local boots pharmacy a couple of years ago but was never given a boots contract. how is holiday entitlement calculated? and would i be able to use my notice as holiday?
