Nursing or Psychology?

HELP! Im 16 do you suggest double majoring on Psychology and Nursing?

• I recently got into a Polytec for Nursing but also I got accepted into BS Psychology in the university of auckland, and they told me If my grades were high enough I could to do DOUBLE MAJOR in psych and nursing. OF course, I am a lowly suburb girl jk and I am ready to take the challenge of going to the big city but what I am worried about is that what are the jobs I could get into? Is it worth it? if possible someone who is working/know someone on the field please help me decide:(

  it depends on what you want to do. the only real thing that a psych major would be for is if you were planning to get a doctorate in like psychology or psychiatry. if you want to do that, then there is no need to get a nursing degree. if you want to do nursing then you would be wasting time and money getting a degree in psych as well. also, once you actually enter the nursing program (after your approx. 2 yrs of pre-reqs) then you will probably not have time to do anything but nursing... and possibly a part-time job (a lot of nursing students i know can't hold a part-time job during the semesters they are at nursing school because the course load is so intense). that being said... you wont have time for psych classes once you enter the full-time nursing program. if you want to do nursing but like psych then you can always minor in psych.
