Is DSL fast enough for Netflix?

How do I connect my dsl modem through xbox 360 for netflix on tv? i don't know where my "router" is... HELP?

I have tried to follow the instructions that came with the xbox 360, but I just can't figure it out. I am pretty much "technology illiterate". I have my laptop, the dsl modem box thingy, the xbox console, and the tv. I don't understand what it means when they say "connect the router to the xbox". I plugge one end of the cable to the xbox and the other end into the modem box thingy, but that didn't work and I don't know what else to try. Could it be that my ISP doesn't work with this? I have CenturTel.

Follow this http://support.xbox.com/en-us/xbox-live/get-started/connecting/wired to see how to connect you Xbox 360 to Xbox Live. After you've done that, you will need to sign up for an Xbox Live Gold subscription which is the paid one and is required to stream movies from Netflix. Then you'll need to download the netflix application from under the Video Marketplace section and register your 360 on netflix.com under your account.
