What is the difference between Facebook Groups and Facebook Pages?

Managing your account on Facebook - your groups, pages etc.?

  • I've pretty much figured out how to manage my privacy options on Facebook. Apart from one thing.... I've looked at all the options but their doesn't seem to be an option to make the pages, groups etc. that you are a member of public/private. Everything else has the option e.g. posts etc. you can set them to friends only or everyone. Anyone able to help me with this - as far as I know I've looked at every possible setting in the account settings.

  • Answer:

I don't even know if it's possible for someone to look at your profile (not FB friends) and see your groups at all. I don't think it is. And as far as pages go, you can block non-friends from seeing your music, movies, etc... But I don't think there is a way quite yet to block non-friends from seeing your "other pages". I personally don't care though, because I'm a fan of 6 things. I'm sure FB will change this privacy setting soon.

as I think others can't see your groups info page.just check randoms profiles to make sure it. facebook had option to hide groups & still it's there. to hide groups account--->application settings-->groups(in left) :edit settings-->privacy :only friends I guess if you hide 'Likes and Interests' to others they can't see your fan pages as well.because I set everything as 'friends only' & when I see the preview of my profile its don't show fan pages too.
